Real life, in the light you actually want.
Lifestyle photography that comes to you — your home, your street, the park you love, anywhere the light is good. Real moments over stiff poses, one photographer, no studio to drive to. Not sure what to wear or where to shoot? You get ideas, mood boards and location suggestions as part of every booking.
Sessions for the life you're actually living.
We schedule around the sun, not the other way around.
The hour before sunset is the best light of the day, and it's free. The booking grid computes it for your date and marks every slot that falls inside it in gold — you just pick one.
Four steps, one place.

We come to you
Your home, your street, a park you love. Not sure? You'll get location ideas and a mood board first.
Proof your gallery
About 10 days later your private gallery lands. Tap the heart on your favourites and send them back.
Keep them forever
Retouched selects delivered in full resolution — yours to download, print and share.
Every street in this city has ten perfect minutes a day. My whole job is knowing when yours are — and having the camera up when they arrive.
Asked and answered.
What should we wear?
Solid colours photograph better than busy patterns, and it helps if the group sits in the same tonal range without matching exactly. Bring a second option — a change halfway through gives you two distinct sets from one session.
When do we get the photos?
A proof gallery lands about ten days after the shoot. Retouched selects follow within a week of you choosing them. Headshots are quicker — usually the same week.
How many photos do we get?
Portrait sessions include eight retouched frames, family sessions include twenty-five, headshots include three. Extra retouched frames are $40 each, and the full proof gallery is always yours to keep at web resolution.
Where do we shoot? Do you have a studio?
No studio — The Suger Lens comes to you. Your home, your street, a park you love, or a location we pick together. If you're not sure, say what the photos are for and you'll get two or three location ideas with the light already thought through.
I have no idea what I want. Can you help?
Yes — that's part of every booking. Tell me the occasion and who's in the frame, and you'll get ideas, a small mood board and outfit suggestions before the shoot. You never have to arrive with a plan.
What if it rains?
Outdoor sessions move free, any time, no questions. Light rain and overcast are often better than sun, so I'll usually suggest shooting anyway — but the call is yours right up to the hour before.
Can we bring pets?
Yes — pets are welcome on any shoot. Bring someone who can hold the leash between frames — it goes a lot better with an extra pair of hands.
Do you travel?
Anywhere in Toronto and the GTA at no extra cost. Further out is quoted per job — send me the location and I'll come back with a number.
Why do outdoor sessions start so late?
The hour before sunset is the best light of the day and it's free. Outdoor session slots run late for exactly that reason, and the booking grid marks which times fall in it.
How far ahead should we book?
Weekends in autumn go three or four weeks out. Weekdays are usually open within the week. Headshots can often be squeezed in the next day.
What's the deposit for?
It holds the slot and comes off the total. It's refundable up to 48 hours before the session.
Do you photograph weddings?
No — The Suger Lens is lifestyle photography only, and wedding days deserve a specialist. Engagement shoots, proposals and everything around the big day are very much on the list, and I'm happy to point you to wedding photographers I trust.
Anything else, ask the assistant — it has the same answers and can check the calendar while you talk.
Have a moment in mind?
A surprise proposal, a milestone birthday, a last morning in your first apartment — if it's your life, it books. Tell me what you're celebrating and I'll come back with a plan.
